Clear glaze is applied to the interior of each piece leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface that becomes smooth with handling.
If needed, remove stains from the vitrified surface with an abrasive powder or cream.

All ceramic and glassware are susceptible to cracking when moved from a very hot environment to a very cold environment. This is called thermal shock and should be avoided when using your pieces.
